A great life, marriage, kids, dog and was just missing the white picket fence. Then it all went to shit. At the time my then husband and I had a real estate company, a mortgage company and a transportation comp. Fast forward a few years later I was divorced with no child support, no alimony, kids in private school and a lifestyle and mortgage payment I wasn't prepared to maintain. I grew up in a family who bought a forever home, had a 30 year mortgage and never dabbled in the stock market, real estate or anything but CD's at the local bank. We never talked about money aside from "Don't be wasteful" and "A penny saved is a penny earned".

After the divorce, money became a necessity. A necessity to figure out how to juggle budgeting, spending, moving and throw in an aunt in the early stages of dementia who came to live with me and I had to learn fast. It was such a whirlwind of raising kids, working long hours, taking care of my aunt and figuring it out. Today, I'm out of the whirlwind stage and can look back to see the opportunities that I missed without the proper information or teaching.

Money was always such an intimidating subject but I am so thankful I can talk about it, make it a priority conversation in everyday life and teach others what I should have learned many years ago.

Why?

Growing up with a disadvantaged and traumatic childhood experience, I wasn't taught the tools of setting up passive income, investing, or owning real estate which is why I made it my priority to learn, and I am ready to share. It's time to create a new LEGACY and help others do the same. 

A little background about me: 
When I was 11 years old, child protective services took me away from my biological mother. My childhood was filled with chaos, drugs, alcohol, abuse, and child protective services. I have learned to appreciate my journey and how strong I have become from the healing of those childhood experience, but as much as I am grateful for my journey, one thing that will never change is remembering the craving of having stability of a home to grow up in. That is what sparked my passion into real estate. 

Now fast forward to today, I have three handsome baby boys who have changed my life forever and sparked an even deeper passion in real estate. Now my journey is not only to help as many as I possibly can get into home ownership, but I’m on a mission to help everyone begin their journey of building generational wealth. 

In the very short few years I have been in the real estate industry, I have made it my mission to never take “no” for an answer. Every year is my yes year. That’s what led me to becoming an investor, landlord, homeowner, and top producing Realtor. As you can imagine, I dove face first to make things happen as quickly as I did. I don’t regret diving in at all, but it did come with a lot of learning lessons along the way. This podcast is to share those real and raw experiences, mistakes made along the way, and set you up for success in your real estate journey- beautiful human!
